It took a bit of time to achieve, a few decades, in fact, but FRANCES SCOTT has finally arrived where her destiny was always likely to deliver her - working in sport, spending her waking hours looking after the interests of elite athletes and young hopefuls setting off on the road to star status.
For many years she has been one of the two founding partners of SCOTT INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT, With SIM's expansion into a full time presence in Europe, she has joined our organisation's daily work on a full time basis.
Frances farewells spactacularly talented Greek-Australian Guard Elli Danilidis before she set off for her European career, which eventually saw Elli represent the country of her parents' birth in the European U20 Championships.
Destiny Fulfilled
If anyone was ever destined to look after the interests of athletes, Frances is that person. Sports have been an integral part of her life since her first memories as a toddler, sports are what have caused her to move across the world from North America to Down Under, and sports are causing her to relocate to the Old Continent now.
Frances is the child of Canadian parents, who emigrated to the United States and settled first in Harlem, where she was born, and later in upstate New York. An enthusiastic recreational athlete most of her life, Frances excelled in skiing, orienteering and a range of other sporting activities.
In her family, Frances is the daughter of a father who was an outstanding boxer at Golden Gloves level, and the sister of an athlete who finished his competitive career as a high hurdler for Canada at the Munich Olympic Games. Which is where Fran met Peter, her husband and fellow founding partner of SIM.
Dealing with people and their everyday problems is Fran's greatest skill and strength, acquired through years in the corporate and retail management worlds. As of November 2003, the New York born Canadian, who has been calling Australia her home since 1973, is involved full time in the growth, development and success story that SCOTT INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT has become.
Fran's multi-faceted expertise will be put to good use for the benefit of SIM's growing list clients. She is now the person to turn to with everyday problems, all those things which will mean the difference between a pleasant and an unhappy stay with a club, a successful stint, or abject failure as a professional.
SIM clients will be able to turn to the quietly spoken, pleasant and efficient Frances with complete confidence, in the full knowledge that she can either solve their problems, or knows those who can.
